Is klutz a useless ability?

Klutz would be a lot higher if it weren’t so rare. As of now, only 10 Pokemon are able to have Klutz as their Ability. This Ability prevents the Pokemon with it from using any held items in battle. There is absolutely no point to it, because the held item cannot even be thrown with the Fling move.
Can a Pokémon with Klutz mega evolve?

Does silk scarf work with klutz?
Yes, it does. The only items not affected are the Macho Brace, Amulet Coin, Lucky Egg, Power Weight, or Soothe Bell. Silk Scarf boosts are therefore nullified, unfortunately.
Does klutz affect life Orb?
Training items, like the Power Belt or Lucky Egg, or prize money increasers like Luck Incense and Amulet Coin will still work. And the speed decrease from Iron Ball will still occur as well. All your other mainstream items- Leftovers, Life Orb, Expert Belt, etc– don’t affect a pokémon with Klutz, though.
Does klutz affect exp share?
The Pokémon cannot receive any effect of hold items except those that affect experience such as Exp. Share or Macho Brace. Pokémon that can have the Klutz ability: No.

Is Lopunny a bad Pokemon?
Lopunny isn’t necessarily a bad Pokémon, it just fails at being good at anything. The issue Lopunny has is that the Pokémon around it just do everything it can do just much better. There are better Pokémon that have better attacking capabilities than Lopunny, and Pokémon with better defensive capabilities.

Is Mega Lopunny good?
Mega Lopunny has an excellent 135 base speed that lets it outspeed the majority of the unboosted metagame. It also has a nice 136 base attack and Scrappy, giving it nearly perfect coverage with High Jump Kick and Return hitting all Pokemon except for the never seen Shedinja.
Does klutz affect lucky egg?
Klutz does not affect items which affect prize money, experience or effort values, such as the Amulet Coin, Lucky Egg or Power Weight. The speed drop from the Iron Ball is not negated by Klutz.
Does klutz affect assault vest?
Quite simple really.
Klutz prevents use of held items on the Pokémon with the Ability. It disables the battle effect of the held item, rather than preventing an item from being held. So this negates Assault Vest’s effect of not allowing you to use non-offensive moves, so it can destroy your life with Switcheroo now.
