Is Psywave better than confusion?
The result is that Psywave has an Average Damage of only about 60% of the attacker’s Level, as opposed to Night Shade/Seismic Toss’ almost 100%. Since it is a Calculated attack, there is no particular point in teaching Psywave to Psychic Pokémon. But if you’ve been thinking about it, stick with Confusion or Psybeam.
