You should start with Pokemon Quest, or try the demo for Pokemon Let’s Go. I think Pokemon Quest is a very approachable Pokemon game and it got me interested in the upcoming gen 8 game, and I’ve never liked any core Pokemon game before. Start with Black and then play Black 2.
