Can a Pokémon hold more than 1 item?
In competitive battles, a team cannot have more than one of any specific held item. This makes choosing which items to give to Pokémon even more difficult because certain Pokémon will benefit the most from the same held item as others.
Can a Pokémon hold an item?
Though most items can be held by a Pokémon, many have no effect while held. Key Items and HMs cannot be held; in Generation IV, only Giratina can hold the Griseous Orb, and Apricorns and Poké Balls made from them cannot be held; from Generation V onward, TMs cannot be held.
