How many times can you catch Legendary Pokémon?
Once you’ve finally found a Legendary Pokémon and defeated it, you will have a 100 percent chance of capturing it. However, like other Pokémon games, these Legendary Pokémon can only be caught once. Dynamax Adventures seem to be the difficult post-game content that Pokémon fans have been craving for.
Can you release a legendary and catch it again?
No. Once you catch a legendary Pokemon it will not re-appear, even if you release it. They only re-appear after defeating the Elite Four if you caused them to faint rather than catch.
