Does humidity affect Pokemon cards?
Pokemon cards by themselves are not affected by humidity, source: I live in an extremely humid part of the world and cards exposed to this environment since 1999 have no effect.
What humidity should cards be stored at?
Temperatures. Playing Cards prefer a 68 F (20 C) and a relative humidity range of 30%-40%. They can be stored in temperatures as low as 30-40 F (-1 through 4 C), as long as the humidity stays constant between 30-40%. Again, dehumidifiers can reduce the moisture in a room or storage area and are inexpensive.
What temperature should Pokemon cards be stored at?

Do Pokemon cards warp in heat?
Heat can warp cards to an extent, but it’s a lot worse if humidity is also a factor. The biggest problem isn’t really the heat itself, it’s the change in temperature; if it’s hot in the afternoon and cooler at night, it can warp your cards.
How do you protect your cards from humidity?
It’s a good idea to put the card into a penny sleeve first, since the slot at the top still leaves a place for moisture and other impurities to enter. Screw-down cases are the ultimate protection. The card goes into the plastic case and it’s then sealed tight with pressure from a screw.
Can heat damage sports cards?
Unless you’re in a hot humid region, those cards are generally OK. With modern coated cards, as stated before, humidity is a bigger issue than heat per se. Even in reasonable heat/humidity conditions many modern cards will stick together if stored in humid conditions over time.
Does cold affect Pokemon cards?
As long as your cards remain dry, extreme cold or heat won’t affect them. Moisture from condensation is unlikely unless they’re exposed to sudden, severe temperature changes. Otherwise, they’ll be unharmed unless you leave a window open or something. Extreme heat will not effect them, much.
Can heat damage baseball cards?
Baseball cards, autographed posters, and other collectibles are prone to heat damage. Direct sunlight causes fading, and extreme temperatures cause warping and cracking. Store these items in a temperature-controlled unit to prevent unnecessary damage.
How do you store Pokemon cards long term?
We recommend binders for non-holographics, or lesser rare cards that you are keeping in penny or card sleeves. Box – If you are going to use a box or metal case, make sure there isn’t too much room for the cards to move around. This is less of a problem if your card has already been graded by PSA or Beckett.
