You can not skip cutscenes, period. Mashing the buttons to speed through text is part of the speed run for all Pokemon games.

Once you’ve started Guest mode, you will be presented with the tutorial, and, once completed, can choose to “Upgrade” the temporary Guest account by signing up for a new account (which will retain the Guest progress). This can only be done if you are a new player.
Why can’t I create a Pokemon TCG account?
Maybe your web browser has a stored cookie or the like that is causing problems. I would try to either clear your browing data or just do the account registration in a different browser. For example, if you use Chrome then go get Firefox and do the registration in that other browser (or vice versa).
