Why did my Pokemon CP go down after evolve?
Technically speaking, Vibrava does get stronger if Speed is important. Pokémon Go simply does not take Speed into account. In the main series, Vibrava makes up for the loss of Attack with a significant increase in Speed over Trapinch.
