When can you use Pokémon ability?
You can use Abilities from both your Active and Benched Pokémon. When you play any Trainer card, do what it says and obey the rule at the bottom of the card, and then put it in the discard pile. You can play as many Item cards as you like.
When can you use Pokémon abilities from the bench?
An Ability will tell you if it can only be used when the Pokemon is active. If it’s not specified (e.g. Aromatisse XY) it can be used from the bench. The abilities are active when the Pokemon is played to the field.
Can you use Pokémon ability first turn?

You can attach any type of energy you want to the retreating Pokémon. If there are no * symbols, then that Pokémon doesn’t need any energy in order to retreat; it can retreat anytime for free!
Can benched Pokémon use abilities?
Remember, Abilities aren’t attacks, so you can still attack if you use an Ability! You can use Abilities from both your Active and Benched Pokémon.
Can you evolve a Pokémon twice in one turn?

Can you play a supporter on your first turn if you go second?
