Pokémon is far more iconic and recognizable than Magic is. Being able to use your favorite Pokémon can be a great thing, if that’s something that’s important to you. People that enjoy the Pokémon video games will instantly recognize many elements of the card game, and Magic doesn’t really have anything similar to that.
